Platts Commodity Week is an informative free event that gives the low down on all of the most important happenings for those engaged in energy and commodity markets. In our experience, it’s always been a very fruitful couple of days.
The destination for the upcoming Platts Commodity Week is India’s largest city – Mumbai. Renowned as the commercial capital, Mumbai is also known for being India’s predominant port city. Altogether this lays the foundation for Mumbai to be the world’s next great commodity market and a fantastic backdrop for this event, which takes place at the ITC Maratha Hotel from September 2 to 4, 2013.
India stands out as one of the World’s most significant emerging and rapidly growing economies in terms of GDP growth. The economy experienced incredible growth during the last decade, with an annual rate of 7%. This year it’s forecasted to growth at 5%. In the country, there are four options for national commodity exchanges: the National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE), the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), and the Indian Commodity Exchange (ICEX).
At this event Platts, one of our valued data partners, will have on hand experienced editors, analysts, and news reporters to provide insight and analysis on the most important stories unfolding within the industry right now, with emphasis on India.
