2012 is off to a roaring start and ZE is busy planning several workshops, webinars and conferences that we will be hosting this year. As active market participants, we also attend, sponsor and exhibit at over 40 conferences worldwide each year.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to kick off the 2012 conference year by attending Xcel Energy’s East Meets West Conference at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa in the mountains of beautiful Vail, Colorado. ZE sponsored this two day event that took place on January 24 and 25. It was a great success, with 170 guests — double the attendance of last year.
The first day involved presentations and informative discussions on a range of topics including Proactive Environmental Approaches, FERC Developments Concerning Renewables, Everything About Fracking, Dodd Frank and Legislative Updates in Power Generation. The second day was all about networking and unwinding at the luxurious resort spa, or on the ski slopes.
ZE has a number of events planned for this year, and we are very excited about our upcoming Lunch and Learn on April 10 in Houston, Texas. The workshop will focus on Data Management for Energy and Commodities: Challenges for Enterprise Systems. Later, that evening, participants are invited to join us at the Houston Astros’ 50th Anniversary baseball game versus the Atlanta Braves.
