ZE had the opportunity to present at the Energy Weather Summit 2012 in Houston last week. The event was held at McCormick & Schmicks in downtown Houston, and attracted a wide range of energy and weather professionals from organizations such as Air Liquide, Calpine, EOXLive, Gelber & Associates, NOAA, Platts and many more.
My presentation focused on the role of technology in the integration of weather data for future energy price predictions and storage changes. I spoke about how weather conditions have an impact on energy markets and I also delivered a case study with Gelber Corporation, a local Texas company. This was one of the unique segments of the ZEMA presentation as it discussed how Gelber use ZEMA every day to compare weather and natural gas data to help their industrial clients make better decisions. This was a major factor in presenting ZEMA’s intrinsic value and it was well accepted.
After the session, many participants commented on how much they enjoyed the lineup and specifically ZE’s contribution. The Senior Executives at StatWeather, Ria Persad and Mark Carlos mentioned that ZE helped make the event such a success.
The conference was very well organized and I’d be delighted to participate in the next session.
